Blue Bird Residence is a boutique homestay in Antwerp’s historic centre, set inside a converted 16th-century cigar factory. Three suites offer different layouts. The 94-square-metre Moriaan Suite has a king-size bed in the main bedroom and a high-quality sofa bed in a second room located in the former factory office. The 126-square-metre Wijngaard Suite has two bedrooms with king-size beds, two bathrooms and a bedroom that can be arranged with twin beds. The 48-square-metre Conscience Suite is on the ground floor and has a king-size bed, with a broad glass façade bringing natural light into the room.
Interiors are carefully decorated with artwork and sculptures, giving the residences an individual character rather than a standard hotel style. The design balances the building’s industrial history with comfortable contemporary details. The suites are intended for quiet, private stays, whether used as a base for a city break or as a more spacious retreat for several nights.
Practical facilities include an elevator, fast complimentary Wi-Fi, a Nespresso machine, bathroom supplies, towels and fully equipped kitchens. Washing machines and dryers are also available, which adds flexibility for longer visits or stays involving children. King-size beds feature throughout the residences, while the layouts provide options for couples, families and small groups of up to four, depending on the suite selected.
The surrounding neighbourhood makes it possible to explore much of the city on foot. Historic architecture, the fashion district and cultural attractions are within walking distance, while the residence itself provides a quieter place to return to after a day outside.
