Ampere

Ampere is a music venue and sustainable creative event space at Simonsstraat 21 in Antwerp. Its programme is built around concerts, live culture and nightlife, giving the venue a role that sits between club, performance space and urban cultural venue. It is not presented as a restaurant or dining destination, so its identity comes from music and events rather than a particular cuisine.

The venue describes its approach through environmental responsibility and creative use of space. Sustainability is part of Ampere’s character, while the wider concept brings together youth culture, urban energy and live programming. This makes the venue suitable for event-led evenings rather than casual meals or daytime sightseeing. The atmosphere is shaped by the programme taking place there, with concerts, club nights and other forms of live culture providing the main focus.

Ampere’s format allows the experience to change from one event to another. A concert places live performance at the centre, while a nightlife programme gives the space a different rhythm and purpose. The shared thread is a contemporary, music-focused setting with an environmentally conscious outlook. The venue’s own presentation also includes a dedicated events programme and ticket information, so individual listings are the useful reference for what is happening on a particular date.

The creative and youth-oriented character makes Ampere a natural fit for people interested in current music culture, live events and nightlife. It can suit visitors looking for a concert venue, a club setting or a place connected to Antwerp’s cultural programme. Since the event itself shapes much of the evening, details such as timing, access arrangements and any additional facilities are best considered alongside the specific listing.

Ampere’s setting on Simonsstraat places it within the 2018 postcode area. The address is straightforward for event planning, while the venue’s public identity remains focused on sustainable cultural use rather than a neighbourhood restaurant format. Its name is therefore most closely associated with concerts, nightlife, live culture and a creative approach to event hosting.
